OK it could be worse

I made an earlier post about being dissapointed by the size of my amazonians... First post

This is what I saw this morning:


Then I took a nap and another picture:


What I failed to take into account was the density of the flush:

I must have picked 500 shrooms! (or it felt like that at least)

We figured that my amazons were small because of my shallow substrate, and I was pretty bummed out.  But my mood soon changed after the harvest: 370 g (after cleaning)  :tongue2:

Someone fail terriably(ok, not to terriably, they fruited :wink: )
and then be resilent enough to keep at it and do even better...Looks like you're gonna have a nice punch bowl of mushie tea, invite the friends, ur girl, :wink:

Nice flush. Go for a sub about 3 inches deep - next time. My old rule of thumb is 2.5 Min & 4.5 Max. You can go deeper, but you don't get that much more with cubes.

Also, sometimes with a Maxi pin set, first flush is tight togather, with smaller fruits. Second flush, with less Shrooms..... is when the BIG  :mushroom2: boys - appear.

Below is about 4th or 5th flush & only a few, but note the one with the BIC lighter on it. If i recall right, that one shroom was in the 125g range.

Amazons were short IME. Even in 3 inch thick straw. I got 5 inches of straw with them pinning now though. We'll see how big those get. I doubt very tall. But they were HEFTY and solid...very nice strain IMO.
