do u really HAVE to bake the perlite before casing?Also to pop the casing out i just turn it and it fell right on my finger tips<(do u think that will contaminate it even though i washed my hands?) then put it in my rubbermade container with perlite(unbaked)and water/. thanks

what? perlite as a casing? you dont have to bake it before you use it for humidity in the bottom of the tub. But it will get nasty faster

not perlite as a casing haha on the bottom to create humitity but i was just wonderwhen my fingertips touched it if that would contaminate it at all

Fully colonized substrates are very contam resistant. Perlite comes pretty damn sterile right out of the sealed bag and peroxide is all thats needed to keep it going for awhile but you will want to resterilize the perlite from time to time (commonsense). GL
