I found these yesterday, but when i got there 24 hours later, they was dried out and somebody mowed. There was prabably 30 - 40 grams wet there.

I think they are Panaeolus castaneifolius or Copelandia cyanescens.
They are growing out of a rotted tree in Dallas, texas.

If you look closely, you can see more dead ones




The Dark spots isnt dirt, its rotted wood. They was growing all in it in clumps.

looks like some type of conocybe.. couldn't tell you exactly what it is..not hallucinogenic

They appear to be some sort of Coprinus. Not active.

I don't think those could be either of those for they grow on dung,I could be wrong. My guess would be in the same family Coprinaceae.

Panaeolus/Copelandia species are not really known to grow from trees. They are found on dung. I agree with the others on coprinus.

tis the season for coprinus micaceus,
and the like.... Inky caps.... habitat,
season and general appearance would lead
me to believe the same... read the faq.
