Well a friend is on her way home with a nice bag of fresh shite. I was just tacking a look at a few shit teks and they all need dried shite. This stuff thats on its way is fresh from a cows bunghole, the cow gave birth to it not more than 4 hours ago. Since the dry shit needs to be rehydrated does this all matter?

Composted manure is preferable as nutrients are more readily available. You could run into problems when your manure-tek starts composting during colonization.

composted? [Re: puscle]

What does composted shit mean? Is fresh shit not suitable for growing shroomz? I was thinking of mixing shit with soil (high peat moss content) and gypsum.
Do you have any suggestions or links?
Thanx.

Composted means broken down by bacteria. You can achive this in a trash barrell or even a trash bag left in a warm place. After the ammonia smell clears, it's composted. Takes a couple of weeks.
I would think your fresh shit could work, just make sure it's bone dry before use. This can be done in an oven at 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Plan on a stinky household for a few hours.
