I've also had mild leg cramps once with eating 370 Heavenly Blue seeds, but haven't noticed this with HBWR...

From my experiences, it seems clear that whatever the active ingredient(s) of the lysergic seeds are, they are largely water-soluble while the nasty digestive-disrupting substances are lipid-soluble and responsible for any foul tastes and odors associated with the seeds (this observation has been reported elsewhere, I believe on Erowid).
Eating whole MG seeds without further preparation certainly does give the "Ipomea diahhrea" with horrendous gas. Raw HBWR seeds seem to cause less cramps and gas, but can make me nauseous in places of the body that shouldn't be so (you know it is psychedelic if the nausea is in the head and limbs!). I've removed the volatile oils of MG seeds with petroleum ether to produce a course "flour" with a sweet, raisin-like aroma without the chemical nastiness of the raw seeds (the flavor is bland but improved). Similarly, sauteeing MG seeds in butter or margarine until crisp and brown (vs. raw black) and discarding the grease results in tasty "psychedelic pine nuts" with reduced gastrointestinal effects (some grease still tends to be retained). Both products are seemingly potent, at least for threshold stimulant and euphoric effects (I haven't tried large-dosing on them yet).

I remember reading about changing the makeup of LSA to more a stimulant like effect such as LSD simply by adding spearmint, something to do with the alkaloids. By soaking in warm spearmint tea, or using drops it converts it to LSH.

What is "LSH"? Can you provide a reference?
