Mushy Crystals

I can't seem to get them. I get great mushy alky but it taste like crap. I would like to get crystals. I use everclear 153proof. I do the double boiler and then I wind up with a fruit roll up. It never seems to dry up. It's like a brown paste that sticks to everything. I even tried using a simple fan and got the same resultz. What could or should I be doing? I feel like I'm missing a step or 2 in the process. Any questions or answers would be extremely helpful...

See the other post around here about this as well.. Follow the PF formula in the link I put and use the extras I put in. It works, at least the one time it did.

maybe you've condensed it too much? If you start with 153 proof and reduce the stuff will become lower and lower alcohol content vs water, which may be a better solvent for psilo, I'm too rusty on my chemistry to say. The brown colour I'm beginning to think comes out of the caps as they boil up, But I dunno. The stuff I've 'seen' looks like dark whisky, was evaporated to about a bit under half the starting volume, cooled and set in the fridge a very fine crystalline substance formed and dropped to the bottom. Still tastes like crap, but not as bad as shrooms...

Whats a fruit roll up?
