rehydrating a cake
    #4030473 - 04/08/05 01:22 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

If one were to have a shrivvelled cake left over from a previous grow effort, how would one rehydrate this cake? I assume a hyd.perox. solution, is there any documented concentration that would be ideal for this job?

This cake is going outdoors, maybe i should just wait for a rainy week and put it into the ground and let nature work on it?

Dunk in clean water for 12 hours.

 I agree.  Dunk the cake.. don't hope and wait for rain.  At least when you stick that bugger in the ground... you'll know it's wet and ready for whatever comes!  Good luck.

take the 3 % peroxide that you get at the drug store and mix it 1:10 with water. 1 part peroxide 10 parts water.

holy crap that was a fast reply. While i'm getting instant answers, how about this one:

I'm lazy and I don't want to put much money into this. I have some compost, and a shovel. Can i just chop the dunked cake into a few pieces and mix with some compost, put it into a hole in the ground and expect some growth? I don't really care how much I get, i'm not selling it or anything.

I know that there are lots of detailed teks but they all require money and time that i don't have...

Check some of the outdoor TEKs.  They explain how to do such a thing, and with a few pics too
