I have used it many times...it works ok but add some verm or more coir to it

Do you have to adjust the ph in it at all? And I forgot to mention that I would do a 50/50 Verm/MiracleGro Moisture Control Potting Mix

I never did ...you might wanna add a bit of lime
The main thing is to pasturize it correctly
I have gotten some really nice results using it

micrwave works if your pile isnt to big.oven perfured..pc is in possable only sterilizes

No microwave ...we want to pasturise
Do it in a baking bag in your oven and use a thermometer to make shure you dont get over 180 degrees

to do this you just fill the pan w/ what you want pasturized and let it go at 180 for an hour? Does any water need to be added or not?

I use a baking bag and get it to field capacity...pasturise at 160 degrees for a hour or so

I dont like this part from the site:
"Enriched with Miracle-Gro? Plant Food."
That stuff seems like it will add nitrogen or something that may burn them a bit or attract contams? Either way, it seems un needed and I know wal mart carries a basic "Seed Starter" which contains no plant food, just peat, buffer, and a bit of verm and perlite...stuff works great when you add extra verm to it..

I will probably get this then because I saw it at Wally World while I was there. Will this stuff need a ph buffer in it? I do believe that the MiracleGro stuff does have nitrogen in it. Thanks.

It does say Lime in the ingredients for buffer...but I assumed this meant hydrated to get it to a neutral 7 to start. I added in powdered oyster shells myself as if it were coir for a long term effect. Long term buffers dont burn so bad, so its tough to add to much..I think it would be better to add a bit if you have some. If you dont want to, it may work out fine though since it is buffered in the bag. Then add verm slowly untill it looks like the casing mix in that casing I pictured. I dont really know how much I added of it.
