When to repot salvia
    #4022852 - 04/06/05 06:33 PM (18 years, 11 months ago)

I just got a small plant (40cm) in the mail. I figure that it is pretty stressed from the transfer, so I'm hesitant to replant it for a week or so until it is acclimated to the new environment.

What do you all think?

No sense in calling names or being rude, especially sense it's a valid question, although one that may very well have been covered before.

I'm assuming the plant didn't come in a pot? If that's the case then I would probably put it in soil soon. If it's in a pot that you just think isn't of a sufficient size, then waiting might not hurt it.

It's all good.  No offense taken, even if one was intended.  Unfortunately w/ internets, sarcasm doesn't come shining through.  This gets me in trouble more than I'd like!

It did come in a pot.  A small, so very small, pot.  The plant is looking a bit better, but I think I'll still wait a week.

I tried a search, but didn't find anything.

Thanks

Since it's in a pot. Definitely wait a week and then replant it to a larger pot to ease the stress load. Once replanted and has optimal growing conditions. It will take off. Happy gardening!

I replanted mine straight away and had no problems, water in and keep in shade.
