Proof - proof

1..You can question anything if you set out to do that, even if you believe it actually is true.

2..It takes a second to ask but it takes a minute to answer.

3..Any truth-oriented debate is doomed in the presence of consistent Skeptics.

1..You can question anything if you set out to do that, even if you believe it actually is true.

Of course. Belief is based on the emotional attachment to an idea more than it is to reason.

2..It takes a second to ask but it takes a minute to answer.

The scientific world is based on skepticism, and it has come up with more definitive and accurate answers than religion ever has, so I hope this wasn't an attempt to criticize a lack of answers ever coming from a skeptical viewpoint.

3..Any truth-oriented debate is doomed in the presence of consistent Skeptics.

But without consistant skeptics, it's doomed to fall short of the truth.

4. Their ultimately is no real concept of truth. More so it's an ideal concept of truth, especially in respects to spirituality.
5. One can explain a working model of a phenomena to the nth degree in various formats, provided that each detail in respect to the mechanics of the situation makes proper sense, it's a part of the "truth", albeit not necessarily "the truth".

What are your reasons for saying this? What emotional attachments? I would say my beliefs lie with reason more than emotion.

Over-skeptics bug me, but this is true.

Not if Truth's side has a skilled enough debater to, in his answers, include the next level of information necessary for the skeptic to advance a level himself. In face of Truth with a skilled articulator, eventually the skeptic will come to believe.

Ever see anyone insist that they are right in the face of mounds of contradictory evidence?

Ever been to OTD?

We need both scepticism and imagination to learn new shit.

Imagination creates new ideas.

Our ego clings to our own ideas, but those ideas are often wrong. Sceptics help remove our heads from our collective asses.

We often, believe what others tell us... but those others are often wrong.

Sometimes we believe there is no right or wrong... and we argue about THAT... cause we KNOW we're RIGHT!

Sometimes we must imagine what we learn. Sometimes we must create it. Sometimes it is just there under our collective nose waiting to be discovered.

Who knows... perhaps the ultimate truth hasn't even been imagined, created or taught. Perhaps it's been here all along... under our nose...

Some people believe sceptics but, what do sceptics believe?

Perhaps, just perhaps, the proof HAS been in the pudding, all along!
