Whats up? Tripping is fun. But i have found it even better when you do manage to get some preparation in. I love to watch crocodile hunter for about a week before I trip. Also, any books filled with artwork, like picasso or something. Also find anything you can on the history of the world on discovery or something. Also, the best thing I find, is to think of about 5 or 6 questions I want answered a week or two before tripping, the write them down, and keep repeating them in your head. Especially the day of. You'd be surprised at what comes up. Another good thing I have found, is to listen to marley for about half an hour after taking the shrooms. WOWEEEEE! Also try meditation. The best I have found is the Zen meditation outlined in the mind/spirit section of www.erowid.org. Good luck and happy tripping.

i can vouch for Marley, my first shroom trip was based around listening to Bob Marley it sounds quite amazing on shrooms and gets you in a great mood i find tho, that little preparation leads to a nice surprising trip where shit you never really thought about pops up, as opposed to stuff you have on your mind. i like this better, but YMMV just make sure you have a nice variety of music, and I would suggest playing something upbeat at least until the peak or so, just so you start groovin ... then put on what you desire (personal fav is Pink Floyd Ummagumma and Meddle, though those are quite lonely and creepy (Meddle has some happiness in the middle but the first and last songs are downright crazy -- make sure you are ready) but you know what, just do whatever YOU feel is right and you can't go wrong. everybody trips differently
It must be hard to trip if you anthropomorphize your shrooms. We're all MADD here...

I just had a level 5 last night (first one) and I noticed that everything I had thought of recently came into my head and had a part in my trip. I have been reading a book by Jack Kerouac called On the Road - damn. There is are so many interesting characters in that book. I was Dean for a while and I had is unwaning energy. It was odd.
now i've got that feeling once again i can't explain, you would not understand -pink floyd

I tend to agree with Newt about the positive attitude, but djchilxxn is right about being able to pack your mind with a book. Makes me wish I'd read this book so I knew who Dean was... keep meaning to...
