Do spores defy laws of biology?
    #4025537 - 04/07/05 11:39 AM (12 years, 7 months ago)

Do spores inherit the traits of a contaminated cube? apparently a cake of mine got contaminated during its life at one time, and the contamination left its toxic influence on the cake, so when the mushrooms flushed they contained mycotoxins. I made a spore print from the mushrooms before discovering their toxicity, and need to know whether i should throw out the spore solution.

Conventional biology says that the child cannot inheirit the gained attriubutes of the parent, meaning whatever happens to the parent within its life cannot be transferred into the child. If spores forsay could be reprogrammed, then this would be very unconventional.

Toxicity would be a condition of the mushrooms relating to some contaminated conditions (casing layer, substrate, etc.) This is not something that gets passed through DNA to the next generation.

Remember that if your cakes/casings contaminated, then you printed them, you're most likely to have mold spores on the sporeprint as well...  It doesn't take much for them to get up there... GL bro :stoned:
