Emil Pales, Slovakian scientist, has published a book on the existence of a cyclic alteration in the 'soul' of time (soon to be published in English in a book covering 1000 pages).
The cycles alternates in major cycles of 354 years and minor cycles of 72 years between an idealistic and materialistic (yin-yang) conception of the world. This is based upon some ancient mythological conceptions of the world.
The emirical data he has analyzed is quite substancial, something that has caused him to win the prestigious "Zdenuk Klein Preis" from the Society of Integrated Science.
The work might possibly be dynamite, but we will have to wait for the english translation before it can be analyzed by a broader group of scientists. Not only does he claim to have found waves in the soul of time, but he also challenges the very fundamentals of the scientific method!
Introductory article: "Can an Idealistic Scientific Paradigm be more Successful than the Materialistic One?":

I love any attempt at uniting schools of thought into one interweaving understanding and this man is certainly one of the few making true progress towards that goal.
I really have to read his book, which I intend to do, to really comment any further on his actual work as it merely outlines it in those links.

As Chesterson said: If we want to get to the truth, we have to get back to the fairy tales and myths. . Currently, the spirit of the times is Michael the archangel of the Sun, who battles the dragon.
. . Very interesting indeed.... Funny, I have always been fascinated with Dragons, and have quite a collection of dragon figurines.... Also funny to say this, and at the risk of sounding "crazy", I talk to the ....
