 Stripe down Pin

Two of my pins (I'm not sure what to call them now... as of yesterday some were over an inch and a half or so) have a stripe running down the side of them. One stripe, brown in color (I think) running from the cap to where the stem comes out of the ground. What is this stripe?

Also, I should add just incase this could be the case with this casing, I cased two jars in one casing as the substrate of the casing. The two jars were two different strains... I didn't really think about it at the time. lol Cambodian and PF Classic together. Could that stripe have anything to do with maybe a muttshroom or somethin'?
