 no shrooms please help me !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello all, ive been trying to grow these shrooms i got from a print i got outta some mushroom kit i think it was called Homestead shroom kit. Well i got 3 cakes fully colonized put two into a terrium just as cakes and cased one.well i lost the casing to contams. I let the 2 other cakes grow out for about 2 weeks and they didn't fruit so i cased them now they have completely colonized the casing but still no shrooms. maybe this spore print was to old what . im using perlit for humidafication and i fan 2-3 times a day. i need help o yeah i also put the casing in the fridge for about 30 min didn't do shit. any help would be great

Well evey thing sounds good so far....
When you cold shock a casing, 30min is not enough. i cold shock at 50f for 38-40hr. in complete darkness, although i'm not sure if total darkness at this point is really nec.
You will also need a some amount of light for a few hr. out of a day. Light from a far away window will do.

Didn't you say that you lost the casing to contams? My shrooms are growing fine (knock on wood). This is my first time. First casing is doing just fine sitting where it is. I don't know if my perlite:water ratio is right, but everyday the shrooms get to be around 3-5 times larger than the day before. I keep the Sterlite tub in a closet at about 80 somethin degrees, I think, which is not supposed to be good I think... but they're doing fine I THINK!

How long has the casing been colonized? It could take a week before you start seeing any pins. Since you left these cakes in a terrarium for a couple of weeks Im sure they lost some of their H2O content, did you give the casing a good misting?, and if the casing looks alittle on the dry side you may want to give it a light misting daily IF it looks like it may need it. Most importantly after the casing has been colonized its fresh air, moisture and patience. Good Luck....

Once you have a casing which is fully colonized, it needs to undergo a temperature drop in order to initiate pinning.. This means if you had it at 86 degrees for colonization, drop it to about 79, and give it some light every day. Continue misting lightly to keep the casing hydrated until you start to see pins form, then quit misting alltogether, and just try to keep the humidity high while continuing to fan, and your mushrooms should do well. Also, there will be probably a week between when the casing looks colonized, and when it actually begins to pin. This is just the network of mycellium preparing the cropping surface to support the mushrooms. It's nothing to worry about though, cause after a casing is colonized, it's much less likely to be open to contams.. Mycellium can defend itself rather well after it's established.
