    #4021821 - 04/06/05 01:49 PM (18 years, 11 months ago)

IS this a cactus worth growing, does it compare to Purivian tourches or pedro? Thanks for the help.

http://leda.lycaeum.org/?ID=16089

It seems that there is some hordenine and candicine.
Can't find any more chemical research on this species.
I think it is save to say that pachanoi and peruvianus are the only trichocereus species who contain Mescaline in a concentration that would be usefull for shamanic purposes

t. spachianus is not amongst the strongest shamanic cacti but is still a nice addition for the trich grower...

They grow very fast and are not moisture sensitive, in my experience. Good for grafting stock, except for the spines, of course.

There is some information on spachianus in one of the recent threads in the Cacti forum over on the Nook.
