noob cake Q
    #4022483 - 04/06/05 07:08 PM (13 years, 1 month ago)

During the first flush on a mycobag, a pin on the bottom grew to maturity and died.

While trying to remove this I accidently tore the bag  So I put the cake into a tupperware.  I have the lid just resting on container, I mist and fan a couple times a day.

They have been in the tupperware for two days now and are still growing, however very slowly.

I have some perlite I could add to the bottom, but no pressure cooker.

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice?

buy a large rubbermade/sterilite container, toss the perlite in there and wet it,
3 inches of perlite, 2 inches of water, put the tupperware and colonized substrate
in the tub and use it like a terrarium... you can also case it

This happened during the first flush so the cake was 100% colonized. If so, you could of just broke it up and cased it.
Good Luck.
