mold\mycelium.. hmm..

ok the strain is treasure coast. the method is pf tek with perlite humidification. the problem is this: this is the first time ive grown this strain and the mycelium is very wispy and wisps out in little strands off the cake (ive only grown ecuador and this never happened).. now in some parts its so thick and looks almost like cotton.. the shrooms are growing still. soooo cobweb mold or mycelium?..that is the question.

It's mycelium most likely. If it was cobweb then you would see a very obvious grey mass. The type of growth that you are describing is called tomatose mycellia as upposed to rhizomorphic mycelia. Give it some time and you may see the stringy, ropey stuff that you are used to seeing.
