smelly old straw and manure used; crazy colonization
    #4019546 - 04/06/05 12:32 AM (12 years, 8 months ago)

OK a little read but maybe something new. i have never heard of this. Last week I made a bag full of manure/verm/straw and added colonized rye berries to it, this was an oven bag I used with a tyvek filter patch thingy. It was very very slow colonization I think cause of low water content. so i took the bag and decided it to mix it with a bag full of 3 week old P.Ced manure/straw/verm mix with to much water content or what i think was to much water content. Got everything sterile and opened the jar and bag and proceeded to mix it together after a little while I noticed that it smelt horrible like it was decaying like a if u dug up some swamp. I left thinking it might be OK but then the smell started to leak out of the Rubbermaid. Decided to take it out but got maybe 3/4 of it out and left some in there thinking oh well fucked up again. Well today I decided that I was going to check it out and the mycelium has gone nuts and colonized 75% of the substrate now (top layer what I can see)and i believe also which is underneath the smelly layer the dry substrate. I have never seen anything like this. Any comments has this happened before.. I used a pint jar colonized rye berries and really none of the to dry substrate colonized. To give u an idea of the amount of substrate i used it was 3 inches high in a 10 gallon container. I'm thinking about adding what I have left if this continues.

It could be contamed in the middle where you can't see it. I would through it outside and let mother nature take care of get a nice outdoor grow going.

so yeah:
- 'sex' five times
- once with a man
- once with a cadaver
- and thrice with actual women(all of which were prostitutes)
