yeah I think there's a supplier on the west coast distributing these babies!! :laugh:ance:   Prolly somewhat localized though.

It was $15 I think?  something ridiculously cheap considering what I got!!  I nearly wept for joy in the middle of the store!  I snagged them quick though, that's for sure!!

Usually they have a sticker on the pot that says Trichocereus pachanoi. Awesome find!

I believe most lowes/walmarts/home depots/ and many many more hardware/department stores get their cacti from two main suppliers, one of which supplies trichocereus cacti to the ethnobotanical market as well.

One of the suppliers, Kactus Korrale (sp?) usually labels the cacti with latin name. The green houses and nurseries around here label them with their full latin name too. They obtain them locally however. I suggest joining a local Cactus and Succulent club as they can usually find you a supplier for whatever you are looking for, plus its a good way to learn more about cacti.

i have found most stores find tric. type cacti hard to sell to normal consumers, therefor are less likely to stock them.
   :nonono:

and many times one garden center will stock trichs. and the same store across town won't.    it's up to the buyer/manager of that center.

talking to the person who does the orders can possibly help, and sometimes they will do special orders, like for a whole flat of one type of cacti, for grafting, of course.

thats funny, i called cactus corral once, they live in plant city or something, they said i could stop by an buy their san pedros for a couple bucks. havent taken the time to go there though.

i called a plant distributor once, asked him if he had any san pedros, and he freaked out " i dont sell to no drug dealers " or something like that and hung up on me. didnt realize there was such a big demand. well, thats stupid greasy POS mexicans for you.

BTW, whens bush gonna enact those laws to get rid of all those fucking mexican immigrants?
