Antsy as a.... newb

Hey all... i have been around this site for a little while and have done my proper reading. I just started my grow a little over a week ago and wanted to ask this fine community how they liked my setup so far.
First we start with 6 jars of pf tek. knocked up with b+. The jars were boiled. Each one was made with a slight variation of water and labeled so i could see the best result for later grows. I currently have them in a small rubbermaid container with a heat pad on low underneath it. They are covered with a blanket to keep out light. I dont have a thermometer yet but the jars are just barely warm to the touch. It has been 9 days and im still not seeing growth. There are a few spots that kinda look like they might be forming but nothing deffinate. Can people please analyse and tell me if im doing anything wrong. Please ask many questions.

You need a thermometer, especially when using a heating pad. The temps can fluctuate quickly.

By the way i used a five hole inoculation method a day after the jars were "cooked"

Did you knock them up and then boil them?

Each time u knock them up you get a 100% chance of contam, no matter what....This is why i hate the pf tek, if you knock it up in four spots then you just got a 400% of contam...Not saying it will, just saying that it Ups the chance...
Basically means that you've got to be way more sterile, lol, well, good luck

Hmm...I use LC's now, i hated waiting for them to germ.
I'd wait about 3-5 more days and then toss em...I've had jars sit around for 20 days, hoping, i finally said fuck it, opened em, tossed them and almost gagged at the smell...

is it better to let the jars sit without a heater. My house is a constant low 70. I dont want to overheat them.

Going by this statistic, I have 16 jars that should be contaminated four times over lol.. The only source of contams from inoculation would come from the syringe(I am assuming the dry vermiculite layer was used and it would be highly unlikely that a contam would enter through a hole in the lid and manage to penetrate the layer). If your syringe was prepared properly and you sterilized the tip then you should be fine.

I am worried about the heat. I was pretty causious about being sterile. I just started a karo tek so i can have some liquid ready in case the jars dont budge.

And thats what counts really...
I'm just implying probability and showing that one spot of inoculation (for grains tho) is less likely to get contamed....and thats not even taking into account that you do everything sterile...
I.e, keep ur shit clean
