mycellium jared everywhere now what ?
    #4018302 - 04/05/05 07:10 PM (13 years, 1 month ago)

Well as a newbie i over did it on jarring my spores, There in mixing glasses, shot glasses, everything, I used BRF tek's mixed in info from the masters we have here for my substrates "The one's with coffee matured 4 days faster", But now i have perl white mycellium & no pins? I've built a Martha setup wit 4 shelves, drip guard over the top & ultrasonic for humidity on a timer " Really nice i think" So it's been about a week since 100% colonization should i be worried? Will it die in the jar or mature later? Should i shock them into growing "There at 85 degrees now since starting" Can i transfer them to the fruiting chamber without pins? I know i'm just worring but i have alot of jars reaching maturity to soon & really need your opinions. I'm growing treasure coast / Teachers / B+ thanks.

i don't think pins are necessary at this point. dunk, roll and put in your fruiting chamber.drop temp, give light, and exchange air.

Do not wait for pins, once 100% colonized, dunk, roll, and into the fruiting chamber. Then about 5-7 days later the pins will come.

Thanks guys, I'm getting a little lost since most people post after fruiting has started or just before, I'll do a search for the dunk & roll here & maybe i'll have something for show & tell in a couple weeks.

actualy a week after 100% colonization is an ideal time to start them in the terrarium

Is that true? I thought that you only needed a couple days after 100% colonization to ensure that the middle of the jars is colonized. Is there a reason to wait 7 days?

Ive always thought to wait about 3 days. frock, dunk and roll tek is simple. Just dunk the cakes in water and put the in the fridge for 12-24 hours. Take them out and roll them in verm and put a little extra on the top. Then put them in a jar lid filled with moist verm and there you go. Onward with fruiting!
