RH control Question
    #4018152 - 04/05/05 06:09 PM (12 years, 25 days ago)

Greetings. I am planning an enclosed automated environment terrarium and would like the help of anyone with experiance in this matter. I am planning on using an ultrasonic fogger to supply necessary RH and air exchange (with additional air exchange if needed). I am currently considering this combo: A fan on a timer for air exchange (time cycle to be determined) and this http://www.greenair.com/humidistat.htm to bring the fogger on and reach the RH desired. The only differance I can see between those two Controlers is the % error.

A friend of mine has that greenair humidistat and it didn't work well for mushrooms.

The highest setting is 80 and when he used it he said it wouldn't cut the ultrasonic off, even though the humidity was way 100%+.

Works well for plants. Not so well for mushrooms.

"enclosed automated environment terrarium" with ultrasonic = 100% RH all the time. It's easy to get 100% RH. The hard part is if you want 95% or something like that.

Yeah thats why I figured some extra exhaust would be needed so that Im not always at 100%.
And the RHC model goes all the way up to 90, and come to look at it so does the THC. I figure it will take a little extra effort to time it out and experiment, but itll probably be what ends up happening. Although as soon as the RH in whatever room the terrarium is in raises or lowers, the timing will be off. *ponders* Now Im back to wanting an RH sensor, BAH! lol
