Morels in Greenville- pics to come very soon. UPDATED W PICS
    #4018010 - 04/05/05 05:20 PM (12 years, 6 months ago)

It's that time again- time to freak out the gardeners/landscapers in the parks- look at the grass- look at the leaves- and look far too hard furthermore. I had to- seems there is a secret to morel hunting- you have to be standing up- till you find them- then you get on the forest floor. Anyway- went back twice and my specimens will be on the final edit but I don't know how to get the computer to upload from this camera- if anyone knows what the fuck I'm doing wrong- HELP! Another couple pf indicator species are the purple flowers prone to growing on the floor of the forests and aside from fiddleheads there is also as someone (no offense can't remember who- cup fungi about- and furthermore- some kind of tree drops these yellowy fuzzy things but who knows what they are. FUCK a DUCK! REALLY hard to find these mshrooms by sweetgum trees (which they love BTW) and I think their porous texture speaks to the "why" of the matter.

This is so fucking frustrating- I have to use my mother-in-laws computer to post here and she won't let me install the software "yet" though it (according to her) needs to be installed. Fucking what good is a camera you've had for two fucking years if you've not istalled the software- what the goddamn fuck? AAAAHHHHHHHHJHHHHHHHHAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! They were, at the very least tasty- sorry for the thus so far meaningless post.

OK- figures this out after some glitches. So happy to be blessed every time I find these- the frustrations is a shame compared to the smell and taste of a morel. Blissful.

More to come- next I will try to detail some habitat and ground cover- it's all key.

Thanks- it's time for subbs in my pile and I'll try to get pics of these and my new morel finds up by Sunday if possible. BTW- I DO smell them cooking, and my nose is talking shit to my stomach. Found some bitching Horse Mushrooms and a rotting clump of gyms (!) today but I was at work at Ryans so there is no place to use/store a camera and no plausable reason to have one. Can't wait till the big foray this weekend- it's gonna be the biggest. Peace.

I'm salivating thinking about how delicious they must have been.
What a treat to find them! Nice.
