can ultrasonics hurt after too long?
    #4017071 - 04/05/05 12:16 PM (19 years, 9 months ago)

I accidently left my ultrasonic on for about an hour... of corse my martha was FULL of fog, I fanned it out... I think I did this before too... I gotta stop drinking. Also, oddly enough... in spots of mycelium, I have these white DOTS they look like whitehead zits. Are those pins or damage from too much humidity?

i'll guess hyphal knotting, but not for sure

i just started on bulk w/ a martha so i havn't actually seen hyphal knotting personally but thats what it sounds like

party on

if you have a korger around they have some pretty good martha-able timers for like 6-8 bucks

i have these white things on the trays im doing as well.. they are the first trays im doing and i thought they were pins.. i have ultrasonics and they were on for awhile before.. didnt know about the timer thing.. wonder if its some sort of buildup of excess moisture or something.. but noone answered the question huh...

is too much humidity, in the form of fog, bad?

Left mine on 24 hours one time, and the pins fully matured within 36 hours from turning it on, then turning it off after 24, 12 more hours they WERE HUGE...

But then the soil became contamed about 2 days later and the whole thing sucked...

the white pimple things are usually knots, but sometimes they can be mold setting in... watch the spots, if they turn colors, then it's mold, if not they should start growing...

Any and all references to growing are completely facticious, all pictures shown unless specifically stated are stock photographs found via google image search.
