Staring at that picture, I just realized when the next time I'm dropping acid is. :-D

Seriously, if you have a chance to attend the show, you must go!

They are incredibly insane, their show rocks and they don't make a lot of shows so it's pretty much a once in a lifetime chance.

Yeah, I saw them play in a hangar at last year's Coachella. It was BEYOND excellent. "Numbers" was one of the best performances I'd ever heard.

The entire "Computer World" album is amazing, and so is "Trans-Europe Express." Those would be my top recommended but also "Autobahn" and "Tour de France."

Download the song Computer World, and Numbers, and Europe Endless.

A friend told me that their name is pronounced "Krah-fik". Is that true?

I don't think so, I'm pretty damn sure it's just as if it were Craftwork in English. Just Germanicized.

I'm stoked about this. I have "numbers" and "trans-europe express" on vinyl. I love that shit.

Here's a link to a DJ'ed megamix of all Kraftwerk tunes. (it's the second from the bottom)

Definitely not. Even if you pronounce it the German way, all that really changes is the 'w' sounds like a 'v'.

What kind of music are they? I figure they're electronic, but what category of electronic?

I might be able to go to the Chicago one. I live in Grand Rapids, so it's not too far.

They essentially are among the pioneers of electronic music alongside people like Giorgio Moroder. Really simple electronic stuff, so simple that a lot of people who hear it now think it's stupid, but they were doing this shit before anyone ever did.

To everyone thinking of hitting these shows, smoke a lot no doubt but really give some thought to taking a psychedelic...their show is extremely multimedia driven, a total psychedelic experience.

Kraftwerk is actually a band I prefer to listen to sober

I enjoy them when I'm stoned as much but I really prefer to experience them w/ no drugs-- Everyday, since I used LSD, I've seriously felt like I took acid yesterday
