Hey all,

I know the whole request thing is annoying to some of you, but this will be my first season to hunt and I wouldnt mind a bit of guidance. I know basically what to look for, but it still helps to be given some 'general' locations.

Just wondering, along what roads, or what parks are there decent spots to look for mushrooms in the East or South East area of Melbourne (Melbourne is a city, not a small town just for those of you who arent from Australia).

Ok, It says long roads or park names are acceptable for requests, but if you find that something is not right, then I wont complain about it being locked if you tell me why.

Thanks.

Prediction: Thread will be locked.

They will tell you to go out on your own...most of us here have all gone out on our own and taken risks on our own hands...I've wasted countless dollars on gas driving miles (one day I drove 50+ miles JUST looking for fields to come back to in the night). I'm a college student, so obviously I can't afford the expensive American gas prices...it's not hard to drive around in the day and scout where you're going to go...it just takes some intuition and initiative.

Good luck!

If an imaginary person was in a dream and went to examine the garden mulch throughout the Monash Clayton campus, one may find themselves a hypothetical goldmine!

Hmm thanks for the heads up bluemeanie. Also, mulched garden beds in parks are a go. Anywhere along lilydale and belgrave train lines. Jump off, search parks, especically in wood chipped areas. Trial and error my friend

Also bluemeanie, i have been to monash clayton 100 times, do they let anyone in to just waltz around the premises?

Im guessing this is a campus. Just throw on a book back and waltz in like your a student. But most likley they dont have rules against it.
