jellyfish by The String Cheese Incident and in the song texas by them he talks about mushrooms a pretty good bit, but i won't ruin it for you. Get the double disc "Carnival '99" by them it is really good, and the second disc is mind blowing. It has both those songs on it.

There was 45 that came out around 1970 called Ichikoo (sp) Park, by a group whose name I forget.
It is about a bunch of heads tripping in the park with a nice flanged chorus in the middle.
"What did you do there?
"We got hi-igh."
"What did you touch there?"
"We touched the sky-eye."
Definitely San Francisco style psychedelia.

Alot of Phish's lyrics can be interpreted to be speaking of a trip... Bouncing Around the Room and Chalkdust Torture are good examples. Then of course there is:

i forgot purple haze by jimi hendrix. even though he said it was about a dream he had it sure sounds like tripping to me.

Its not to hard to figure out what "bouncin' around the room" is about when you know the original title was "bouncin' around the shroom"

How is chalk dust tourcher about tripping???? I thought it was pretty obviously about how much school sucks.
Any way best song about tripping is the discobiscuits "House Dawg Party Favor"

I think its dumb when people say video games effect kids negatively.
I mean, if Pac-Man effected us, we'd all hang out in dark rooms, muching pills, and listening to repetitive music.

Actually Lucy in the Sky isn't about LSD. It was inspired by a picture drawn by Lennon's son of a classmate of his called Lucy. True story. The lyric's are so trippy that they probably were inspired by some acid trip or other..but the letter's L.S.D were unintentional. ;)

IMO a lot of the best songs ever written were inspired by drugs in some way...I guess that's why 60's and 70's music was so great.
BTW I think the "we touched the sky" song was by Small Faces.

I know Skinny Puppy's "Left Hand Shake" is about having bad trips on psychadelic drugs. It features a sort of 'debate' between singer (Nivek Ogre) and Timothy Leary. I wouldn't recommend to listen to it tripping though unless you're very familiar with them.

yup... good recommendation. Skinny Puppy itself could cause a bad trip easily. I personally like scary shit when I'm trippin. Fear tends to be the most intense sensation.
Pigface can get pretty freaky too. Can't recall them having any songs about trippin... but it will eat your head and you'll miss all the words anyway. Gub or washingmachinemouth (is that right? it's been a while) would be a good place to start for that.
