Stalled Jars

My 1/2 pint PF tek jars have been colonizing for 28 days. After around 3 weeks growth slowed down considerably. I have turned the jars upside down to increase growth to no avail. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

- 75?F - 85?F - 4 holes in the lids of each jar - No tape - Ecuadorian
The mycelium was moving pretty fast until the 3 week. The jars were approx. 85% colonized by day 21, and 7 days later they're only approx. 90% (and the mycelium growth is still decelerating).

Also, 2 of the jars are fully colonized. How long can they stay in the jars?

sounds like your jars are drying out. thats the main cause of cakes never fully colonizing. that and you must keep your jars around a steady 86F if you want them to colonize before the cakes get dry.
next time you do jars, put tape around the holes, inoculate ( now you'll have a small needle hole, but thats ok ), and throw a tight covering of tin foil around the lid. Once you start incubating in your water bath, it will usually keep the moisture in long enough.

I don't think they are drying out, because there's condensation on the inside of the glass. If I'm incorrect, how can I replace the lost moisture? Thanks.

Only 3/12 jars are colonized.
Any suggestions? Should I just wait it out? At this rate of deceleration, it will take at least another month. I'm assuming there must be a faster way to increase the rate of growth back up to its speed earlier. Thanks.
