to mist or not to mist
    #4013742 - 04/04/05 06:08 PM (19 years, 16 days ago)

my cakes started to pin a couple days ago, I had only been fanning once a day, and not misting at all their are four of them in a styraphoam cooler, I took a suggestion to bump up the fanning to 2-3 tines a day and start misting twice a day, now that their are pins should I continue to mist or not? thanks, I will be starting a grow log look out for pics

When I used to do cakes I always misted very lightly after each and every fanning.

1 to 3 fans a day? I fan at least a few times an hour when I'm home, just enough so temps don't drop under 20c?. Is fanning so little allright? Maybe I'm just working too much, and could save some effort

(meh, talk about noobish questions )

Those are 1/2 pints...they are just the wider ones, instead of the taller ones.

Fanning...optimal is multiple times an hour...1-3 per day is sufficient though.

Its "OPINIONS are like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink"...not sure where that came from though. I've heard of excuses...too though..

i believe you could add a lot of different words in place of opinions.  Plus not everyone has excuses well maybe they do but not the Buddha, Allah or Jesus i guess Muhammad but couldn't read or write but he could talk to god.

think about it whats worse an opion or excuse. Opinions are not always bad but excuses are always shitty

i guess opinions are not always bad. But excuses are not always bad either. But I think feelings could be hurt more with opinions then excuses. I got in a car accident and i wasn't wearing a seatbelt and got road rash and i can't come into work this week. Is that excuse bad. Opinions are worse because they always seem to be negative and are always given when they are not needed. excuses are needed or i should say wanted otherwise they wouldn't be excuses. Opinions are not needed or in most cases wanted.

In all reality that is not an excuse it is a circumstance, big difference IMO. Sorry too hear your misfortune and hope you get better quick as possible. I layed my chopper down at only 45mph and the RR lasted many months, Something I hope never happens again 4sure!!! GL

no i would think it is an excuse. I am giving a reason for why I can't come into work. The result of me getting roadrash has caused me to tell my manager or give an excuse to why I will not be able to come into work. I am excusing my self from work.

I've been growin cakes for years, and never fanned mulitiple times an hour, of course, Ive never done any adanced grow techniques besides casing cakes, which isnt really advanced if you ask me. I also never read that fanning multiple times an hour was optimal, has your experience proved otherwise please share.
