Hmmm, I might have a picture somewhere. Its very slow growing and thin on malt agar.

Hi workman :cool:

I found one reference to keeping a "stock" culture on 6% malt agar.  This is not the best for spore germination is it?  Dude used 4% MYA.

About 6 years ago, I germinated some wild semi spores on a 50(?)mm agar plate (silver dollar size).  All I got was fluffs of tomentose growth and a few weak strands that developed near the edge of the dish. :shrug: That was a just-for-fun experiment and I can't grow them here anyway, so I haven't bothered messing with that species since.

tip: time would probably be better spent cloning a piece of the mushroom

it reminds me a bit of some of those oysters on agar. Or similar to Ps.aucklandi.
MEA was fine for me though. Strong germination and thick growth thereafter.

One isolate of about 6 was a decent sclerotia former
