Sporeworks: New incubator mats and thermostats, Maz prints in stock
    #4013189 - 04/04/05 05:45 PM (13 years, 1 month ago)

Howdie folks,

This is just a quick note to let ya'll know about some updates at Sporeworks.

We've added two new exciting products to our culturing supplies section. The first is a Seedling Heat Mat - Incubator Pad, the second is an Electronic Temperature Controller designed for said Heat Mat.

The Heat Mat raises temperature of media placed above it by 10 to 20deg F over ambient, but when used in conjuction with the Temperature Controller an inexpensive and tuneable spawn incubator can be fashioned out of any small insulating box or cooler. The Temperature Controller utilizes a thermostat probe and temperature control dial to turn the heat pad on when temps drop below the desired temperature, and kick it back off when things warm up above desired temp.

Spawn placed directly on the Heat Mat can excessively dry if you are not careful so we recommend placing something between the two or fashioning some way to create airspace so heat isn't direclty applied to media. Using small storage baskets to keep spawn suspended above the Heat Mat while inside a cooler works wonderfully!

We are also happy to have Psilocybe cubensis Mazatapec strain spore PRINT microscopy kits back in stock!
