What is happening? HELP PLEASE!!!!!!
    #4012058 - 04/04/05 11:21 AM (11 years, 7 months ago)

me and a few friends are growing mushrooms using the pf tek method... we set every thing up, and the substrate jars fully caked, some even start pinning, others had some rather large mushrooms in the jars, the problem that we're having is, when we try to take the cake out of the jars and put them in the terrarium, they start to mold the second they hit the air. One we even tried to unload in the terarium itself, without bringing it into the outside air, and to our surprise it started to turn green in the terrarium. Any help???

You say they turn moldy. Are they blue? Cause if they are, its just the bruising of the mycellium and represents no problem at all.
