We are experiencing ideal conditions for mushrooms in my area (Sydney Australia) and after some hunting yesterday i found a great spot with a very tasty mushroom.

Lactarius Deliciosus

Have you found this mushroom before?

Do you have any good recipes?

Hi mj,

Thank you for the infomation on margaret McKenneys The Savory Wild Mushroom book. I also found today while checking something that The Encyclopedia of Mushrooms by Colin Dickerson & John Lucas has a Simple Mushroom Cookery section page 107.

I found some more Edibles in the same location, Boletus Species.




The season is glowing with mushrooms i have taken heaps of photos and will keep you posted.

The weather has been shit down in Melbourne - the way the forecast is looking we wont get much fruiting until May - just like 2002 if i remember.
