I was just wondering that if i got a cool moisture humidifier how would i modify it properly to be able to hook it up to my terrarium? does any one know any links to sites that explain this? also i have seen people using those huge plastic tubes to do it.. does the tube have to be that big?

You could either find a tube that's big enough to fit snugly into the hole, and use that and seal it up. If the tube is too big you can find another tube that fits snugly into the end of that tube and seal that up.

That should actually allways be the first thing to do.
Then you probably found this:

if you post a pic of the humidifier will be better...
btw you can attach a duct at the exaust, or close the exaust and drill an appropiate hole to fit the duct.
due to venturi effect i suggest you to use a 1" duct (mcman rules), if the duct is too small, the pressure will raise causing excessive evaporation, a too big one looses pressure and probably will not work for proper air exchange.

I used a cut funnel attached to a regular garden hose for my humidifier, and have had little to no success. It seemed like the funnel was diverting all the air pressure so I even tried modifying it. Still no success. Then I tried everything from weatherstripping my chamber to fluting the ends of the hose. While I have managed to increase the pressure slightly, it is nothing compared to what the unit actually can put out, also my 19-gallon rubbermaid still leaks. My next step is to use a bigger diameter hose like McMan already suggested, hopefully that will be enough to raise the humidity.
Oh and one more tip. Remember to check that your setup works before you silicone glue the hell out of it!!!
