Drying Questions (Pics)

Question #1-
These are the results of shrooms that were fanned dried for about 2 days-

They got really skinny and had nasty black spots all over them. I guess this is rot or something Im not sure. Ive seen shrooms dry I know they dont get that skinny. For other flushes that just finished I am using a desiccant now. Should I expect the same dry results with a desiccant?
Question #2 This is my desiccant chamber-

I was wondering If I set this up right? Also I didnt know how many shrooms to put in each chamber
Help would be much appreciated thanks!!!

That looks just right for a small drying chamber. However, you can expect similar results, except maybe a little less bruising (my shrooms seem to bruise a bit if the fans on too high).
And yes, they do get that small. Mushrooms lose about 90% percent of their weight when dry; the stalks get much skinnier.

I fan for a day and then put in the DC
Ive noticed that putting them striaght in the DC makes them heavly oxidize (blue), so i fan em and then stick them in the DC to take the rest of the water out...

As long as you get them dry, they won't rot.
Bruisings not bad, really. I've heard that it may reduce potency, but probably only VERY mildly.

He he. I think your question about your desiccant chamber is kinda funny. If you ever grow any bulk, pretty soon youll be just tossin tons of em in there and havin to bake yer sand every other day.
But I remeber when I used to "place" my shrooms in the conatiner.

bruising does not reduce potentcy, use a dehydrator and you wont have this problem,

Try snapping one of the stems. If it snaps like a cracker or dry twig then it is dry enough, if it bends at all then they're still to wet.
