I wasn't in to the Wall either. Just not my cup of tea.
LOTS of people here in the pub love that movie, though.

There should be a warning on it to the likes of, "Watch this movie tripping at your own risk."

That's the only way I ever even kinda liked it. A few tabs, and that movie drastically improves.

First time I saw it I bugged the fuck out (shrooms), but I gave it a second shot on acid and it wasn't bad at all. Then the fucking VHS ruined my VCR. Bastard.

Ive seen the wall plenty of times while trippin shrooms... It really sucks because its to depressing... Watch the Pulse dvd/vhs or Delicate sound of thunder one ... Its perfect for a tripping type flick...They dont have Roger Waters in either of them but shit hes the bitch thats so depressing.. It will give you a renewed respect for David Gilmour my friends

The movie had so much symbolism and metaphorical stuff in it, and there is a plot to it. It's about the main character, Pink, who lives his whole life and eventually isolates himself from the world he lives in. Every thing in his life, his possesive mother, his materialistic groupies, his father who died in world war II, they are all bricks in the wall which he builds around himself. This isolation eventually turns him into a sadistic madman, something he never wanted to become; but all along had been morphing into.
The climax kicks in when he Trials himself, and eventually he is exposed before his peers. Theres a lot more to the movie, but I don't have the time nor the will to type it all up.

Its really good music but the whole concept sucks... `Ive had relatives that died in the war but i dont let it bring me down and say to the world "Wow is me cause i didnt have a father" Yeah we could go on forever .... Rodger was so cool but he turned into a failure...

I disagree, I think it was a great concept which showed the downfall of a potential artist.
And it was much more than "Oh my dad is dead"
It was more like "Oh no my Mom is a bitch, my schoolteacher beats me, my dad is dead, my girlfriend left me...etc"
but too bad Waters is a failure now, I think most saw that coming with Radio KAOS.

I liked the wall because it was full of symbolism... I don't know if everyone catches it though.

First time I saw it...was a few years ago...my 3rd trip ever..on about 4 grams of some good mushies...my first and only real bad trip. It put me in a very depressed state, which I could handle now...but then...I had a voicemail from my mother and girlfriend at the time...the messages said nothing important, basically "call me back"..but for some reason I couldnt understand what they were saying..listened to it over and over again (both messages half a dozen times at least) and they kept getting madder and madder at me every time I listened to it untill they both hated me and didnt want to see me again.
One of the hardest, and most important experiences of my life. I both love and despise that movie at the same time...I want to see it again soon tripping harder...
