dumb question... popped popcorn?

I was eating some popcorn last night, and I couldn't help but notice the light, fluffy texture. I know you can use popcorn kernals, but was about popped corn? Maybe grind it up slightly into a semi powder, and using it in PF cakes w/ vermiculite...

I know I'm not the first one to think of this, so can anyone tell me if this works, and if it doesn't, why not?

Why? just tell me why make a PF cake with popped popcorn if you could grind the kernels before hand, or use the multitude of other grain substrates that don't require you to cook them first, then grind them... My issue would be a few things: post-popping, haven't most of the nutrients been microwaved or roasted? How much do you personally like wet popcorn? do you think the addition of water to that substrate may cause some kind of rotting? I don't know, I just wouldn't bother if I already had the kernels to just soak and simmer... It's all a matter of opinion...
Hey, anyone ever think about using rice cakes?
How about ground mixed nuts?
If I inoculate a corn stock, will all the corn kernels get colonized?
What if Inoculate a box of cheerios?
Coco-puffs?

I think you'd run into problems with your moisture content if you use popped popcorn. It seems like it would be spongy and kinda hard to work with.

that's kinda what I figured.

Okay, boiling and simmering grain for fucking ever vs. popping corn in the microwave for a minute and a half... i guess everyone is entitled to their opinions...

simmer and soak isnt that bad... 45 minutes at a low heat (bring to a boil first)
and then 3-4 hours soaking doesnt require much, popping the corn and then letting
wetting it will turn it to mush, ever put melted butter on popcorn?

Well I've got a whole giant jar of B+ LC of which I could never use it all, and I've got time.

I'm sure it wouldn't work, but maybe one day I'll get around to making a jar or two.

Ive tried it and it sucked worse than a contaminated syringe...
I used to do only corn but it better be 110% colonised when you case it....Popcorn is to much hassel
