Plans have fallen through! (please reply asap)

Ok. Heres the gameplan. In a few hours a couple of buddies of mine are going to eat some very potent blotter. We originally planned on going to our local theme park for the day and riding on some coasters. Though, as I checked the web site this morning, the park is cloased today! I checked out another park that is a bit farther away, but that one is closed too! Wouldn't be that big of a deal, but it is going to be my one buddies first time, and today is the only day he has free to take it.
I was thinking of taking a hike up the side of a local mountain instead. It's about a 4-5 mile hike to the top, and there are a bunch of water falls and caves along the way. The whole hike runs next to a beutiful stream in really thick woods. It's a rather dangerous hike, but we should be able to manage without any problems.
This is my plan for now.. though we still have a few hours till my one buddy gets off of work. If anyone else has any sugestions, please let me know. I'm really out of ideas today. I want something that will be outside and have a sence of adventure. Something that will also go over well with a first timer (I've never tripped with a first timer before, and I'm the guy who has all the experience. JOY!) Anyways, either just think up something really fun to do for 10 hours, or give me suggestions for things to take on our hike.
Thanks a bunch!

Hey Durban poison.
I also tripped in the baltimore aquarium once. It was cool but the crowds of tourists and little kids running around got to be too much for me so I split pretty quickly.
I did, however, manage to see the exhibit at the time which was a bunch of crazy looking seahorses. They were definetely the coolest form of life I have ever seen, and the mushrooms definetely helped that. They all looked like beautiful delicate aliens.
Anyway I was wondering if you happened to be at the aquarium when they were.
Hydro, looks like you made the right decision by going up that mountain. Must have been real nice.
