Looks good to me. Also, the 3-4 tier mini greenhouses are a great buy in the $20 range.

Does lowes or walmart or Home depot have them?

you can find the greenhouses everywhere.
Ebay, Big Lots, Lowes, Walmart, Home depot and other places.
Big Lots has a sale on them every year...probably one of the cheapest places to buy one.

Yep, like Roadkill said. I saw some 3-tier guys at Big Lots yesterday for 15 or 20 bucks. That's a deal.

Hey Guy's, wouldn't the one he wants to use from Wal-Mart be hard to maintain humidity levels with a breathable top panel. Hard enough when the bottom's open. Peace,Love,Happiness and Harmony. Hippie Chick

Since mist usually sinks..I think with the bottom being closed and the top breathing, it will hold moisture better than a martha would. Either way it usually easy enough to seal up any holes.

How much does the cool mist run me, and what brand should I get?
Can I find a timer at Lowes for around 20$?
Would you recommend trying to get a way out to big lots or just buying the closet at walmart? Walmart is walking distance.

Also, what are those connectors shown in the martha pictures of the cool mist?

PVC fittings from Home Depot.
Cool mist should run you under 30-35 bucks from walmart. Timers can be had there (though you only need them for ultrasonics, not cool mists)..ones that work in 30 minute incriments...so you can turn anything on as many, or as few times as you want...in 30 minute incriments. Its an analog that will run you about 4 bucks, or 2 for 7 bucks. Also at home depot (maybe lowes ect) theres a digital intermic (sp?) timer that has like 12 or 24 settings a day or week or something that can be done in as small as 1 minute incriments..so you can do 15 minutes every 2 hours every day (I forget how many settings, but thats what it works out to). That timers a bit more expensive and I like the other ones just fine.
Walking to walmart, and walking back carrying your "martha"....should be in the "You might be a hardcore cultivator if..." thread

I have one of those analog timers, the ones with the pins.
Do I have to find somewhere that offers extra or replacement pins?
I just might stick that one in the hardcore thread,

The one I'm talking about...doesnt have removable pins. Its a similar design but there are 48 pins locked in and attached. More like buttons or switches. If in the up position, the appliance is off, if the buttons in the low position the appliance is on.
You can get extra pins...but it would probably be easier/cheaper to check out a new timer like I described at walmart. I'm sure you could find one online before you go, just to be sure you know what your looking for.

Do I need to use both an ultrasonic and a coolmist?
I already have a pretty big ultrasonic; and you said run that 24/7. It has a humidistat and a mist output setting, should I put the humidistat all the way up and the mist output all the way down?

You can get an Ultrasonic, AND a Coolmist off eBay for lik $10. I'm running a 60 inch martha with Ultrasonic's and a coolmist. Takes up a little room, and I had to make my own bottom....but works great.

Actually what I said was..
"Timers can be had there (though you only need them for ultrasonics..."
Meaning you will need a timer for your ultrasonic. It will create a thick fog that will be a bad climate for mushrooms if you run it 24/7. It also wont provide you any air exchange. A cool mist can be run 24/7 as they dont put out much humidity (not a wick kind though, vicks kind with a spinning impeller) but they put out tons of fresh air. You dont need both...but you need the cool mist over (and more than) the ultra.

Well, I already have my ultrasonic so it won't hurt to use them I suppose.
Anyone know where to get one of those temperature things magash uses in his TiT? The ones that turn the appliance on or off depending on the temperature.
