a tracker hosts the torrent, you seed the torrent. you need to upload your .torrent to a bittorrent tracker...after that, it really depends upon the site you are using... most of the time, after you make your .torrent and upload it to the site, you can do one of two things.. 1) you can find the original .torrent file that resides on your hard drive already, open it with your client, and point it to the location on your hard drive where the actual contents of the .torrent file reside, or 2) you can download the .torrent from the website you loaded it to, open it with your client, and point it to the location on your hard drive where the actual contents of the .torrent file reside. after trying either of those two solutions you'll have to wait for another peer to download your torrent, and then you'll start seeding to that peer and the fun begins. keep in mind that sometimes due to tracker issues it might take a while for anyone to spot your seed, so just keep that window open until a few people have gotten your files. and also make sure to set your max upload speed to about 20% less than your total upload bandwidth or your internet connection will grind to a crawl...IE, if the max you can upload is 60kb/s, then set your max upload to something like 45kb/s and it'll be all good.
