Did a boo boo...

I just cased one of my colonized cakes in peatmoss soil. I put perlite in the bottom ofthe tray and sandwitched the cakes in a very light gray (almost white) soil. VERY stupid of me but can someone tell how much this can affect my cakes?

I know not many of you might have been stupid enough to do this but I just need to know if the soils ph would be ok or way too alkali.

No, the ph should be within tolerances. I know this from experience.

So even overdoing the gypsum wont raise the ph to intolerable levels, I guess it will just be harder for me to see the mycelium because of the light coloured soil.
