what does mycelium covered straw smell like? similar to a verm/moss casing?

also it now smells kinda musty like moldy straw but appears to be healthy mycelium forming primordia and pinning.

Smell might indicate something is not right. Does the smell persist after fanning ?
Anyway, if mycelium keeps growing it's a good sign, but if the growth stalls it might be contamination, probably bacteria or yeast.

my question to this matter is,what should mycelium smell like? (after incubation) should it smell good, should it smell bad,should it be scentless, or should it just smell like shrooms? please id really like to hear what the big boys say about this matter.

Mushroom mycelium, especially after you disturb it, should smell like fresh mushrooms.
