Total capacity is 5 quarts. Meaning, it may only hold 3 quart jars.
Big IF.... is the interior TALL ENOUGH to handle quart jars?
I would NOT BUY ONE that held LESS than 5 quart jars.
THE BIGGER THE BETTER IS TRIPLE TRUE FOR PC'S IN THIS HOBBY.

buy a good used pressure cooker off Ebay.

You can buy a new 18 quart Presto for about $80 (including shipping). That will hold 24 half-pint jars. Much better deal in my opinion. I just bought one and I am very happy with it.

I checked the web in my area
www.craigslist.org and scored this italian atium one for $40 that is about 15 quarts. I thought it was huge at first, but know I want a 41 quart one!

I got a 22 quart Mirro for about $65 a few years ago. It has worked for me flawlessly. It's plenty big for two large packed spawn bags too.

I really dont like your advice most of the time. A veggy steamer is not a replacment for a PC. Do whole grains in a steamer and you'll tons of growth...of some kind (not the good kind).
