Everyone i have talked to thinks this idea is ridiculous, but i'll shamelessly post it here anyway . . . How about deep fried buds? I'll go out on a limb and assume nobody here has tried them. But they could be good, you know, with some batter on them. Or grind em up and make some mozzarella sticks. what do you think?

they might taste good but it sounds like the deep frying process would kill a lot of thc

Yeah, my guess is if it goes over 185 degrees Celsius you will loose a considerable amount of THC.

That's what most people say. However, when you bake its around 300 degrees. to me, the best possible outcome would be edible bud plus thc left over in the fat waiting to be soaked into fries and chicken strips.

This is kind of out of topic, but have any of you ever been addicted to deep fried food as a result of purchasing a deep fryer? I have been eating fried food for about a month since my deep fryer purchase, and im noticing its health effects.

Well, since THC is fat soluble and I doubt it would be destroying any, it would probably work. Worth a try atleast.

Can't say I've had that problem ever. I can see it in a sort of sick fast food way tho. have you considered fryin' up a bud? you know, for science.

THC is fat soluble so it will be extracted into the oil and lost/destroyed.. You could butter and kind of food with bud butter, or mix in magic milk or even use vegitable oil

yea you could definitely deep fry bud........................ But you'd have to drink the oil if you wanna get high off of it ;-D.
Although, if you covered it in batter, in theory, the oil would not come in contact with the bud, and you should be fine....in theory.
I say if you are not afraid of losing good bud (it would have to be good sensi, unless you want to break your teeth on seeds), I say go for it. I know I prolly would. If you grow, try it with fan leaves also.

Get rid of it or you will die. Buying a deep fryer is about as healthy as jumping off a cliff.

Yep deep frying stuff usually is at temps of like 400f or above and thats jsut too hot for THC to not break down and be destroyed. Though it might be yummy.

There must be a temp that thc breaks down at. We can bake it at 300 degrees or burn it with a lighter. A lighter has to get above 300. 451 is what books burn at, according to Fahrenheit 451.

i live for deep fat fried foods. i'll probly die for em. but right now , i'm healthy and skinny. the problem is...you've got the equivilant of mcdonalds/burger king/KFC right in your kitchen. evil.
its not a BAD way to die;having the taste of deep fat fried goodness on your lips as you expire...but buy a juicer next time. and dont drink the oil =D
i've thought about deep fat frying weed, but when i DFF something, i notice the rbeading will occationaly come off...with cheese sticks, the cheese sometimes escapes. i'd hate to see my weed escape into a pool of oil. cause i'm noit driking that shit either. lol.
if you were to core out a pepper....fill it with hamburger and weed...and cheese maybe...and bread it, throw it in the fryer, i think the temp on the inside would stay low enough to keep the weed kosher, while still having that crispy goodness onthe outside. or you could jhsut smoke it and drop this pipe dream. lol

oi veh!
actually this is the worst idea ever...............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you do break down thc at 300, especially when you bake it, not saying you destroy all of it but you lessen the thc, to be left with other less desirable actives.> not as clean a high.
the point of deep frying is that oil > hot oil> usually 300-350 degrees> penetrates and quickly cooks the food inside and out, the breading would seal around the bud, but the oil would also pass through the breeding and destroy the pot> or make it so nasty you wouldn't be able to eat it.
it would either burn the bud and ruin it , or it would saturate the bud with so much oil> it would be like dipping your bud in warn canola oil> puke.
and think for a second about what kind of things are best deep fried, things that have easily melted or cooked middles, ( ie. cheese, shrimp, chicken, hot dogs, ) not dry brittle herbs. even fresh nugs would be destroyed. herbs don't take to frying.
so sorry..
