What should I do next??
    #399904 - 09/21/01 11:24 AM (22 years, 6 months ago)

I'm kinda new at all this......just so everyone knows. Well, I've grown several P.cubensis batches using the mmgg tek with a 90-95% success rate. I've found, however, that I don't get very large yields. I've never got casings to work for me and i've tried 3 x's. Well, I need to know either a new way to grow that will produce much larger yields or an easy to grow more potent shroom type......or could i just change my substrate mixture for improvements?? What should i do next?? Which one is the best choice?? Thanks for all help!

Hello:). If your after a simple bulk tek, use pasturized wheatstraw as your casing layer . As your substrate use either whole brown rice or finch seed. When you start to see the mycelia growing through the wheat straw, add a tiny layer of dry verm or just leave the wheat straw bare. it works great.

I've just tried crumbling up the pf style cakes and casing them......all 3 x's lost it to contamination.

Mmmhmm, again what type of casing material did you use? vermiculite, peat, etc...
