But soon after receiving word of Schiavo's death, demonstrators -- some of whom had been outside the hospice for weeks -- grieved openly with gasps, sobs, songs and prayers.
Right, because it was such a huge surprise for all of Terry's close friends outside the hospital.

What were Terri's final words?

Finally the media can focus on more important news like Michael Jackson diddling kids, or baseball players on steroids.

Is it ok with you if we crack jokes about Abraham lincoln's assassination? He died a long time ago too.

It's not the Schiavo jokes that I don't find amusing. Keep them coming, they're awesome. The fact that our media, and even our Congress, focuses on asinine issues to distract us from the real problems that I do not find amusing, and neither should you.

I just hope the Pope is the next to die so we dont have to hear about how sick he is every day. Once he dies, the news will have to focus on more important things.

This brings up an interesting though. The pope has declaired that he wants to remain on life support for as long as possible... and it doesn't appear that he is going to retire as pope before he dies... and considering that modern science can keep a body alive pretty much indefinitely... we might not see a new pope, at least not in my lifetime...
