Golden Teacher Vs. Mexicub

Magandang Gabi Bawa't Isa! Check it out. I recently inoculated 12 one pint cakes that were made PF style. 6 were inoculated with GT, and the remainder were injected with Mexi-cub. After much reading, I was put under the impression that Mexi-cub was the more aggressive of the two strains. After several days in incubation however, I've seen absolutely no growth from the Mexi-cub, and tremendous growth from the Golden teacher side of the house. (I'm incubating at 83 degrees on the money, with about 65% RH, however I doubt that the humidity is relevant at this stage.) Also, I've also inoculated 6 jars of WBS with the GT as well, and they too are showing tremendous growth... It HAS only been about 5 days, but I am an impatient person pursuing a time consuming hobby. Does anyone have any experience with these two strains? The cakes were created under the exact same conditions within a few hours of each other and the inoculation was not longer than an hour between groups. I have yet to see any contaminates from any cakes. I'd appreciate any comments or conjecture on this, to alleviate my undue anxiety if nothing else. Hangang mas huli.

A Foaf's GTs by far have out grow any of the other 6 types they have tried.. Hands down, was agressive as fruck. Couple jars even contamed, and they did a honey water H2O2 save, and have even used that to spawn a couple new jars, within a months time.. Not sure the chars of the strain, but this GT is badarse..

Yea, i remember reading how "aggresive" Texas is supposed to be but GT left them in the dust.

well.....It just so happens that i have 2 golden teacher projects going right now. I can happily say i have had not one contaminated jar out of the 11 that i have inoculated in the past 3 months. Plus if done right the fruits are trmemdous. My first flush from a 1 pint pf cake was 10 grams dry. you can expect similar results. Also my second flush from that same cake is 62 grams dry which is GREATER than my second flush wet. Im waiting for my last couple of flushes before i try other strains. I also have 4 quart jars of rye that i inoculated on 3/4/05 and they are almost 70 percent colonized. so yes golden teachers a very nice strain and a very aggressive grower.

I have not been impressed in my experiences with Mexicubs. Have not tried GT yet.

Your first flush was 10g dry from a pint, ok, believable. But the second flush being 62g dry? You're telling me you got 620+ wet grams off a pint pf-cake?
Well i have to see pictures of such a thing.

My golden teacher is kinda slow compared to others. My Cambodians and South Americans are insanely fast compared with the golden teachers.
And the Tried and true B+ seems faster than golden teacher also. Kreeper is slower than golden teacher, as is blue meanie.
Just what I have discovered so far in my explorations.
-------------------- You gotta check yo' self before you wreck yo' self B, Z, F, Burma, Cambodian, Golden Teacher, Puerto Rico, South American, Costa Rica, African My name is Ender Wiggen and I will own you soon. Bean is my second in command, he is PC'ing jars right now.

Thats pretty fast ... I dont remember the colonization time for Texas cubes but i do remember they were fruiting bigtime in 10 days with huge thick stems and caps...This was from a true tx wild print I just grow EQ`s nowdays because they allways do so good The best grows i ever had were allways prints or syringes bought from Ralphster and im shure Magadash will say the same thing
