there's this guy...
    #3997001 - 03/31/05 06:32 PM (19 years, 2 days ago)

...from my country named Sudac, and he is a christian priest, but does not have much support from the catholic church because he practices mediation, and accoarding to them he is supose to practice "christian mediation" and not buddhistic mediation.

Anyway this guy is like worshiped, people come casually to hear him speak and stay in love with him and follow him around. People see him almost like a second comming of Jesus, they cry on his masses and stuff...

Anyway, on his forehead, recently appeared a sign of a cross, he was taken to Itally to some institute and examined to verify how it happened. They say it was not cut or anything, and the skin is just
natural that way as if he was born with it. Their theory is that his faith is so powerfull that his body reacted in this way, a form of autosuggestion.

Anyway, he walks around with a patch hiding it, and rarely shows it to people.

Recently he moved to US to preach there, I can't remember why.

People who knew him said was never any different from anybody else, and was just a youngster and all living like everyone else, and suddenly boom, he went to become a priest and became the most influential priest in the country.

The cross thing amazes me, because this guy must really believe
in all what he is talking about if his faith has enough power to manifest on his body like that, amazing.

It would be interesting to know his story. Can you find out more details of his conversion?

I feel sorry for that sucker. He has to walk around wearing such a negative symbol on his forhead for the rest of his life.

Not much is known, only what his friends and family have been talking about on TV documentaries, he was just a regular guy, hanging out with friends, had a girlfriend, having fun, they say he was never strange or different ot anything, but a really good friend, very good company, and a lot of fun.

hrmmm...

Well, don't know what to think, but just because it isn't a cut, doesn't mean that it couldn't be induced through some other means.

Perhaps it was created via chemicals, pressure on that area, or some other form of aberation on the skin to create it.

 I don't buy that it's due to his "faith"... but I'll take your word on it.

He has this particular way of talking and a specific voice, and a lot of people make fun of him here, there was even this guy having imitation of him on some TV show.

Can we get a name, or a link, (some form of media detailing his accomplishments)?

Should be available if he and his stigmata are as popular as you suggest.

It just happened overnight, the scientists from Rome tested it for everything, they just couldn't figure it out so they suspect it is
psychosomatic

One more interesting thing, people get healed on his masses, and he is not doing anything to them, they just come there and listen and have this spiritual regbirth, some came wich wheelchairs and went out walking. It's probably nothing supernatural about it, just their faith and suggestion, but the miracle is how this guy affects people,
never seen anything like it.

He is known here, I doubt much people know about him in states, he is there just preaching to Croatian community in Chicago, nothing more..

He has not done any "accomplishments" he is just a priest doing his job

I just googled his name to get information. I sent the information to a friend of mine who is into all this, but alas I think it may have been a mistake as she has been reading way too much into things recently.

Some more stuff came up..
He is against celibacy, he says it is a "violence upon human and god nature"

no wonder he is not getting much support in the local church..

accoarding to them he is supose to practice "christian mediation"

Who is "them"?

I see three likely possibilities:

1) He got a red magic marker and drew the cross 'ala Charles Manson.
2) He has a serious messianic complex and the cross formed from self-suggestion.
3) He is the real deal.

Personally I'm inclined towards #1.

The placebo effect, or as some call it faith, is very powerful. It is the proof IMO of our abilities as creators. I have seen people believe in something, incorrectly thinking it is something else and effect a cure. I see this in my work. It's the power of belief unobstructed by counter negative belief.

So I believe this can happen and does. It doesn't say much about the framework in which it is done. It can be anything one invests belief in.

It's really amazing and most people think of placebo as something false. It is the best proof I have found that we are dreaming our physical reality. :mushroom2:

Yes I agree, placebo is a proof of our natural power over ourselfs, and it confirms the aincient ever repeated sayings about the power of faith. Nothing false about it.

This guy's message was pure, clean and from the heart. But usually people who have these kind of abilities of siddhi's are told not to speak about them for the exact reasons why he said he said it might not be a good idea to do so. I think this guy is pretty genuine, and even if he isn't his message is pure and i respect that.......
