here's one for you to bounce around

okay, i'm thinking of pcing pint jars (can only do 4 at a time) and when they cool down a little bit, transferring the contents to quart jars. i will take those quart jars and do a couple hours of steam sterilization. this is all so i have more spawn (can't fit quart jars into my small pc).
the pc will kill all of those hardy grain spores and the quick transfer to the quart jars will only require a steam sterilization to sterilize the spawn. i'm gonna try it because i'm sure it will work. anyone tried this? i'm guessing not because it seems like its too much more work.

Suggest you use small autoclave spawn bags w/filter patch, instead.
That will allow you to use full capacity of a small PC, in one go.

yeah, i thought about that too. are they re-usable? this would really solve my problem better than my half-assed solution.

NO
That would defeat the filter/patch
Just inject through bag, then tape over the needle hole.
Or, if you want to spend the bucks, use Mycobags with injection site.
I don't, use them, though. Tape is cheaper & agar is frugal.
